John McCain: Erratic, Impulsive, Juvenile, Childish

Jonathan Alter at Newsweek has published a story that wonders what qualities allow John McCain to claim he is better prepared to lead than is Barack Obama
For a man who will turn 72 this month, he's a surprisingly immature politician—erratic, impulsive and subject to peer pressure from the last knucklehead who offers him advice.
Alter says, "McCain's erratic campaign has GOP strategists scratching their heads." Alter cites as the sins of the McCain campaign, "repeated campaign staff upheavals," "poor management skills," "abrupt reversals on big issues," "shameless pandering," confused messages, "bogus charges," and "an angry, bunker mentality among aides." The article said one GOP operative claimed that McCain's staff is just a Luger and a cyanide pill away from doing itself in.

The article is entitled, "Where Have You Gone, John?" Indeed.
