The Sun-Times reports that the Illinois state Constitution is vague about the powers to remove a sitting governor from office. Impeach by the Assembly may be for "failure to qualify" or "disability," but even more vaguely, the seven justices of the Illinois Supreme Court may determine the "ability of the governor to serve."
