Obama calls on Dead Meat to resign

Barack Obama has called Blagojevich to resign. Press Secretary-Designate Robert Gibbs said:

The president-elect agrees with [Illinois] Lt. Governor Quinn and many others that under the current circumstances it is difficult for the governor to effectively do his job and serve the people of Illinois.

Obama similarly called on the Illinois legislature to create a process to select a senator who enjoy the respect of the citizens of Illinois.
