It's All About the Spectrum

I recently stumbled upon this gem as I was perusing the web. Apparently, the Electoral College can be seen as a spectrum ranging from dark red to dark blue, with plenty of purple in-between. When one candidate crosses a certain threshold (in this case, the State of Pennsylvania), he wins.

Check it out. It's a fascinating read, especially if you're a "horse race junkie" like me. ;-)
