If McCain were an honorable man

An honorable man would work for his victory but stay focused on his own policy positions and lay off both attacks on his opponent and attacks on the integrity of the voting process. An honorable man would want the president, whoever he is, to have legitimacy to be able to solve the country's problems.

Why do the tea leaves suggest that Senator McCain does not propose to be an honorable man?
