On the road with Sarah Palin

Sarah Palin professes to love Joe Six Pack. She appears to love her beau ideal so well that she intends to spend all of her time between now and election day hunting him down in one red state after another. All I can say is, you go, girl!

Last week, Sarah was rallying the faithful in Omaha, the largest city in one of the reddest states in the Union, yes, red in the same league as Indiana is red. This coming Friday, she will hold a rally in Indianapolis, the capital of the state of, well, red, red Indiana.

Did any of you catch Congressman Mark Souder's comments yesterday? Souder is a Republican of Indiana. His analysis of McCain's chances were these:

I'm not sure right now that McCain can carry seven states. In the end I think McCain will carry Indiana.

Gosh, that must be consoling, because as Souder also observed about McCain's race, "But if you are fighting for Indiana, you are in trouble."
