Minnesota Public Radio News and Humphrey Institute Poll reports that Barack Obama has surged ahead of his nearest rival, Whosiewhatsit, you know, the cranky guy with decades of history of disasters that resulted from his piss poor judgment.
Obama previously had a narrow four point lead, but the economic crisis and the vice presidential debate have propelled him to a commanding 14-point lead:
Obama 54
McCain 40
The prior margin was Obama 47 to McCain 43.
